Highest Accolades

Since 2007, The University of Tampa’s Sykes College of Business has been named one of the best business schools in the world by The Princeton Review, and in 2016, Bloomberg Businessweek rated it among the top 87 in the U.S. The Princeton Review’s “Student Opinion Honors for Business Schools” named UT’s marketing program one of the top 15, alongside those at Duke, Harvard and the HEC School of Management in Paris. The Sykes College of Business is accredited by AACSB International, a distinction shared by only 6 percent of business schools worldwide.

Academic Success

UT’s 17:1 student/faculty ratio and average class size of 21 allows for one-on-one attention and personalized learning. Each graduate student is assigned an advisor to assist with academic and career planning.

Students benefit from close interactions with faculty, who are committed to academic and professional excellence — 97 percent have a Ph.D. and 80 percent have practical business experience. Professors frequently engage in international business initiatives and research, and are attuned to the unique needs and goals of international students.

Career Preparation

UT helps students make valuable professional connections through internships, special projects and networking events. The Office of Career Services provides personalized assistance to students searching for a new job or negotiating a promotion. They host career workshops, job and internship fairs, résumé-writing classes and other events designed to poise students for real-world success.

In a recent survey, 94 percent of graduates reported achieving their post-graduate goals, including a new job or a promotion.

Graduate Assistantships

Graduate assistantships are offered each year to select full-time graduate students with exceptional academic records. Assistantships provide a tuition waiver for up to 12 credit hours per semester, plus a $1,500 stipend.

Campus and Residence Life

As host to more than 260 student groups, including intramural sports, cultural organizations and academic societies, UT makes it easy to get involved and make new friends. Many international graduate students choose to live on campus in one of 11 state-of-the-art residence halls, all equipped with passcode security, air conditioning, study lounges and free access to the Internet. There are 28 conveniently located dining venues on campus.
